About Me
I came to photography through my interest in the natural world and this pursuit has brought so many positive things to my life. Although I did not have my first experience in the backcountry until my early twenties, that initial backpacking trip to Rocky Mountain National Park inspired a deep interest in wilderness and conservation for me. Now, I pursue photography for a simple reason: the process of crafting a photo in the field helps deepen my connection to the natural places I have the good fortune to visit and explore. Thank you for taking the time to view some of my work!

About My Photography
Photography is a creative pursuit for me.  While I do not add or take away any important elements from what I capture in the field, I do make creative decisions in processing images for presentation and printing.  I use software to help me present my impression of a scene that did exist in nature in a way that communicates my sense of a particular moment in time to the viewer.

All of the images on this site have been captured with a digital SLR camera, most recently a Canon 5D Mark II and a small selection of Canon lenses.  If you have other questions about my work, please contact me using the contact form on this website.
